Meet Dr. Douglas Halloran

dr-Douglas-Halloran

Following graduation from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1996, Dr. Halloran completed his residency at University Medical Center here in Fresno. In 1997, he proudly joined his father, Dr. Richard Halloran, to carry on the caring tradition of this family practice established over 50 years ago. The children his father was seeing in his early career are now parents, and Dr. Halloran feels blessed to care for their children and watch them grow and develop.

Dr. Halloran believes that staying on the cutting-edge of dental technology and advances is the key to successful interactions with patients. In addition to this, his work with children brings him to the Children’s Hospital Central California where he performs full mouth rehabilitation on special needs patients. As a member of a multi-specialty Cleft Palate Board at Children’s Hospital, he serves with oral and maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, and neurosurgeons, evaluating the needs of cleft palate patients. He is committed to giving each patient a beautiful smile and the confidence they deserve.

Professional Affiliations

Dr. Doug Halloran is a lifelong resident of Fresno and enjoys the outdoors with his wife, Alida. Their house is full with a yellow Labrador, a black Labrador, a Chihuahua, a Toy Fox Terrier, a three-footed cat, and two egg-laying backyard hens. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors rock climbing, hiking, camping, and gardening. He also enjoys home beer brewing and studying his family’s genealogy.

Dr. Halloran is also active in his community. He and his wife started a non-profit, Padrinos of Pina Palmera, for people with special needs. In addition, he volunteers with Poverello House, a homeless shelter and food pantry, and also with Food Not Bombs, an organization that provides weekly meals to the homeless and hungry in Fresno at Roeding Park. Along with his volunteer work, he also supports Tree Fresno and H.O.P.E. Animal Foundation.
